La Palapa in the east village has great margaritas as well as good food. They recently opened up another branch in the west village.

The best is still Rosa Mexicano, but that's not in Lower Manhattan. Of course, depending on your definition of Lower Manhattan, La Palapa isn't there either.

There's a place that's not in Lower Manhattan but rather in the Upper East Side that I used to go to that I really like. Cilantro's on 2nd Ave around 90th I think. Great margaritas including frozen ones with different flavors - and its half price during happy hour. It takes me about three beers to feel the way I do after one of those puppies. Food is also pretty good there, especially the steak fajitas.

Son Cubano-14th and 9th...Really really good food...live band, wonderful sangria and im sure they have margaritas too...late night dancing, very fun!
