My class is going to see Spamalot on Broadway and we wanted to go out to dinner at a medieval themed restaurant before hand. Other than Medieval Times, I dont know of any restaurants that have a medieval theme.

Fraunces Tavern: http://www.frauncestavern.com/index2.htm

It's a bit pricy... so might want to consider earlier tickets and go for prix fixe lunch at about $20 each if possible... don't know of another....

redunicor (below me) was referring to Belgo Nieuw York in the first review... I think her mouse betrayed her while she was copying and pasting :)

But the restaurant is anything but ecclesiastical. Belgo's motto is ''Moules, frites et bieres'' (Mussels, fries and beers), and those foods are served in staggering quantities. During prime dinner hours from 8 to 10 P.M., the din made by the party-hearty clientele, fueled by the excellent selection of brews and schnapps, is deafening. A hostess, wearing a headset and microphone, tries desperately to preserve order among the crowd waiting for tables; chefs in the long, open kitchen are decked out in headsets, too. It's a postapocalyptic vision, kind of a ''Mad Max'' blend of the primitive and the futuristic.

There is a medieval Times in New Jersey, just a hop, skip, and toll away from Manhattan.
